I am going to be taking spanish classes, and I really want to be fluent in Italian (the school I’m going to doesn’t offer Italian). My question is: is it easier to learn spanish and THEN learn italian, or can I just learn both languages at the same time? Thanks so much! :)

How does it compare in difficulty to other romance languages such as Spanish and French? I’m told it’s not quite as phonetic as Spanish. Obviously, it’s going to vary depending on how much time you put in and the person’s aptitude to learn a language from scratch, but on average, how long do you think it would take before you could speak and understand Italian to a fairly proficient level?

I wondered this question when I was listening to Madame Butterfly. Any source of info I can read about a soprano’s training curriculum such as study of different languages because I’m intrigued. Thank you.
do they have to learn just the opera piece or do they learn the entire language?

They HAVE to work. I want to learn Italian so I can be fluent in it, and I want to learn it FAST without boring vocabulary drills and such. The website can keep on emailing me. I just need a really good website or two. And don’t choose any that you have to pay. I don’t have any money. Thanks!!
