    I’m finding it difficult to learn Italian on it’s own.
    Both are Latin based languages and therefore have a lot in common as does Spanish

    we’ll ,seen that they have both a similar grammar, it might be good, but at the same time it might be difficult, just because they are similar. but the advantage of the similarity of grammar i’d take…and at least try

    I would say not, because they’re so very similar that you will likely find structures and vocabulary from one language “bleeding into” the other language and confusing you.
